Kullervo goes to War – Tote Bag, Cream
15,00 €
About design: Created by Palestinian artist Assem Attoun during his HIAP residency in Helsinki, the print reinterprets Akseli Gallen-Kallela’s Kalevala piece “Kullervo goes to War” through a Palestinian lense. It reframes Kullervo’s story of cruelty and systemic oppression into a new story of hope and resistance by combining symbols like the Palestinian Keffiyeh and red poppies, while reinterpreting Kullervo’s horse as Al-Buraq, a mythical creature from Islamic tradition.
